'Dangerous' Sydney hotels suing NSW Govt

29/11/2008 8:30:00 AM.  | Olivia Suzanski
A string of Sydney hotels dubbed the most dangerous in the city are fighting the claims and suing the NSW state government.

The five hotels have been named in a long list of violent clubs and pubs and from today will be forced to adhere to a 2am curfew.

Lawyer Anthony Whealy is representing the hotels and says he doesn't know exactly why only 48 hotels have been placed on the list.

“There is a report that we understand has drawn the basis of the drawing up of the list.”

“It has data in relation to the number of reported incidents that have occurred at those premises but there’s been no opportunity to test that data.”

Maybe the Indian government in Mumbai will do the same as it becomes apparent that some who perpetrated the terrorist attacks there were of the same training camp as the celebrated David Hicks.

Perhaps, after this has gone to Court, the NSW GUV, will decide to cast a law which Halves the pubs/Clubs Operating hours. Shut them back down on Sundays to just the sessions. This would be a winner for all. 1) families will have more $. 2) Communities less drunken Abusiveness. 3) Far less violence from Alcohol and lastly, the lack of need to issue such , suing over Offence of a reporeports and getting sued by Idiot Publicans/Syndicates. Did the GUV write the report????
