Schoolies crowd numbers on the Gold Coast were down on Saturday night, and arrest figures also continued to fall, police say.
Around 5,800 schoolies attended the beach hub area, down from 7,500 on the same day last year, and the number charged with offences fell by about 25 per cent.
Queensland school leavers have started returning home, but about 6,000 interstate schoolies arrived on the coast on Saturday.
While police congratulated schoolies on their good behaviour, they said a 23-year-old non-schoolie was charged with causing a disturbance at Surfers Paradise.
He was charged with being a public nuisance and drink driving after allegedly riding his bicycle in Cavill Mall about 9.20pm (AEST).
He was breath tested and allegedly registered 0.136.
He will face Southport Magistrates Court on December 23.
