Man hospitalised after shooting himself in foot

A man has been taken to hospital after shooting himself in the foot at a gun club south of Brisbane.

A police spokesman said the 58-year-old man was taken to Logan Hospital after accidentally shooting himself at the Gold Coast Clay Target Club at Woongoolba shortly before 11am (AEST) on Sunday.

Three others suffered minor injuries after shrapnel ricocheted off the concrete floor.

Police and Workplace Health and Safety officers are investigating the incident.
